From Sales to Product Management
Before taking on his current role as Product Manager, Robbe Vangheluwe spent three years in Sales. During that time, he discovered his passion for thinking creatively alongside clients. He listened beyond what was asked, looked beyond the existing product range, and enjoyed contributing to tailor-made solutions. This entrepreneurial mindset, commercial insight, and drive to make an impact now form the foundation of his role as Product Manager.
This is also how the ALASQ MURO came to be. During his time in Sales, Robbe noticed during school visits that traditional drinking fountains were often unhygienic and did not fully meet users’ needs. This observation became the starting point for a new product concept, which he further developed as Product Manager. The ALASQ MURO was born as a solution perfectly aligned with user needs and continues to be highly valued in practice today.
Innovation Driven by Customer Needs
As a Product Manager, Robbe constantly seeks ways to create real value for our customers. He does not limit himself to today’s problems but looks ahead: what needs will arise in the future, even before the customer recognizes them?
To achieve this, he closely monitors the market. He analyzes trends, engages with customers, and identifies new opportunities. He then translates these insights into concrete product directions and concepts for our R&D team to develop. This is how products that truly make a difference are created.
Stronger Together
Robbe describes his role as cross-departmental because he is involved with almost every team within the organization. He works closely with Sales, Marketing, R&D, and other teams to achieve results together. For him, collaboration is about mutual benefit; his mindset is: “What’s in it for you?” This approach keeps teamwork both motivating and valuable for everyone. His approach is always entrepreneurial and hands-on, allowing him to actively contribute to the success of each project.
