AQUALEX Concept Store Knokke

Dal 5 aprile al 31 luglio, l'AQUALEX Concept Store presenta una selezione della DA Collection di Stijn Dejagere e Michael Aerts.

"Omnia mutantur", scriveva il poeta romano Ovidio nelle Metamorfosi. Tutto cambia: il mondo è in continuo movimento. Ma, aggiungeva, "nihil interit" – nulla va perduto. Ciò che esiste non scompare, ma assume continuamente nuove forme, in un'infinita catena di trasformazioni.

Anche nella tradizione cristiana la metamorfosi occupa un ruolo centrale. Si pensi al racconto di Gesù che trasforma l'acqua in vino. Oppure a Mosè che, nel cuore del deserto, colpisce una roccia facendo sgorgare l'acqua. Ancora più significativo è il momento culminante della celebrazione eucaristica, chiamato transustanziazione: la trasformazione della sostanza delle cose. «Questo è il calice della nuova ed eterna alleanza», proclama il sacerdote, mentre il vino si trasforma nel sangue di Cristo e l'ostia nel suo corpo.

Le opere esposte in questa mostra rappresentano le continue trasformazioni che avvengono dentro e intorno a noi. Raccontano come materia, forme e significati si riorganizzino incessantemente, dando vita a nuove connessioni. La selezione riunisce artisti affermati ed emergenti, linguaggi classici e concettuali. Insieme compongono una vera e propria opera visiva: una ricca trama di forme e significati che dialogano tra loro, si influenzano e si rafforzano reciprocamente.

In occasione del Kortrijk Art Weekend, dall'8 al 10 maggio 2026, la DA Collection aprirà le proprie porte al grande pubblico.
